Subsequently Hearthstone betting has become popular with all top-rated eSports betting sites with both tournament and match betting available.
If you want to know more about the game and the available betting options, here is the information you need:
What is Hearthstone?
Hearthstone is different to most eSports games in that is a turn-based card collecting game played on a one-versus-one setup. The basic setup of the game is based on the classic land-based collecting game Magic: The Gathering. However, this version takes place in the Warcraft universe with many of the same Warcraft characters and elements which also appear in the Heroes of the Storm betting game. Before placing significantly large Hearthstone bets, it is important to know how the game works. At the start of each new round, each player chooses a hero as well as a specific hero power. As per usual, each hero has its own abilities, strengths and weakness, which can be amplified by the power chosen.

The power for each hero is different and can drastically affect how the game is played. For example, one power can cause major damage to your opponent but cannot do anything else. Another power may allow you to draw a new card but will take off two life points every time it is used. Each hero also has previously constructed deck of 30 cards to use in the game. In major tournaments, players often line up four constructed decks and ban one of the opponents for each round.
How a Match is Played
Before logging on to Hearthstone betting sites and betting on a match, there is a little bit more information you need to know. At the start of a Hearthstone match, each player starts out with 30 life points. To win a match, a player must wipe out their opponents 30 life points before their own points are used up. In the beginning, neither of the players have any cards. Cards can be bought (cast) using “Mana” which is earned with every new turn played. Both players start off with a single Mana and can accumulate a maximum of 10 Mana.
Every card is cost a different amount of Mana depending on how powerful the card is. Some cards just one or two manna while others can cost up to six or more. Players must carefully manage when and where to cast to inflict the maximum damage to their opponent. A match ends as soon as a player loses all their life points.
What Are the Hearthstone Betting Options?
Hearthstone betting is fundamentally no different to any other eSports game. On a basic level you have tournament/outright betting and you have match betting. For tournaments and leagues, the most popular wager is predicting the outright winner. This involves predicting which player will win the league or tournament outright. On larger tournaments, eSports betting sites also offer pool betting where you predict the top player in each pool as well as the two players to reach the finals for eSport betting games like Call of Duty bets and Counterstrike: Global Offensive bets (CS:GO).
During any major tournament or league season, it is possible to place bets on each individual match. Money line or straight bets involve predicting the winner of a specific matchup. If two opponents are unevenly matched, Hearthstone betting can include handicap wagers were the online betting site will give the underdog a virtual point advantage at the start of the match.
